«Among the documents obtained by our agency, letters marked with the ring of ISIS mercenaries addressed to the so-called “security persons in Turkey”. They are requested to facilitate the travel of the person named in the letter to Turkey, including to facilitate travel to one of the European countries for the tasks assigned to them through instructions directed to him by “security in Turkey.” The letter states that the instructions to assign the person were directly issued by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi» reports the agency recalling that, in recent years, ISIS mercenaries have carried out a series of terrorist acts in many European countries.

TURKEY, FOREIGN FIGHTERS’ TURNSTILE

The number of FTF arrivals dropped to 200 in 2016 after European security services started to crack down on the network as well as increased focus on the part of Turkey to improve border security and screening procedures at airports.
«The note also warned that Idlib province, which was under the control of Jabhat al-Nusra control at the time, would see increased efforts by ISIS to move fighters into Syria. “The loss of the vital Manbij corridor to Syrian Defense Forces (SDF) would sever ISIL’s only remaining cross border routes under ISIL control and result in degradation of facilitation into Syria. This likely would force fighters to enter Syria through higher risk southwestern TUR/SYR border into Idlib province, currently under ANF [Al Nusra Front] control,”» reads in the article.
The intelligence memo pointed out that more ISIS members would start residing in Turkey since Western Europe and Turkey’s efforts against ISIS were holding back the flow of foreign terrorist fighters entering and leaving Syria .
“Future FTF flow into Europe through Turkey will likely be limited to ISIL members having high quality forged documents to circumvent airport and immigration screening procedures,” concluded the US intelligence document, published in Operation Gallant Phoenix, which also highlighted the risk that the withdrawal of ISIS members in Turkey could develop decentralized terrorist cells.
A risk that, as highlighted in a previous report by Gospa News, does not actually exist as Ankara has adopted a strategy already used by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: to free prisoners and convicted of terrorism on condition that they operate in functional jihadist factions to the cause of the Islamic nation: as in the recent invasion of Rojava by the Turkish army decided by the bloody Erdogan. The employment of the heads of the Islamic State was highlighted both by a detailed article by Hawars News and by a Rojava Information Center dossier.
REBIRTH OF ISIS IN SYRIA THANKS TO TURKS

The report reports that ISIS continues to concentrate most of its attacks on the Deir-ez-Zor region. 58% of the November attacks occurred in Deir-ez-Zor, causing 21 victims for the same claims as ISIS. The Hasaka region, including many large cities like Qamishlo, the de facto capital of northern and eastern Syria, the capital and the Al-Hol camp, has faced a large number of attacks, about 21 with 15 deaths, 10 of which are not been claimed by any group.
«In the wake of the Turkish attacks, it’s become clear that ISIS feels revitalized in the chaos the invasion has created. On the other hand, despite the continuation of joint SDF and Coalition raids, they have not maintained their previous consistency – comments Robin Fleming, researcher at the Rojava Information Center – Much of the progress made in the months following the territorial defeat of ISIS in Baghouz has been reversed, with the numbers of attacks having dramatically risen in the nearly two months since Turkey invaded North and East Syria».
«We have also seen ISIS target vulnerable groups and community leaders, with the assassinations of Armenian Christian priests Hanna Ibrahim and his father Ibrahim Hanna Bido being the foremost examples of this. Meanwhile, circumstantial evidence suggests Turkish-backed sleeper cells are growing increasingly active in the border regions».
The meaning of all these reports is clear: to stop ISIS we must stop Turkey even if it remains untouchable being a NATO country. Although the rebirth of the Islamic State serves to justify the presence of US soldiers in Syria protecting the oil wells of the Euphrates valley where “black gold”, from the beginning of the war, is stolen by the Americans with the help of terrorists.
