Russian forces liberated the community of Nevelskoye in the Donetsk area over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.
“In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Battlegroup liberated in their active operations the settlement of Nevelskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and took more advantageous sites and positions,” the ministry said in a statement.
Russian forces repelled seven Ukrainian army attacks and counterattacks in the Kupyansk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
“In the Kupyansk direction, units of the Western Battlegroup operating in interaction with aircraft and artillery repelled seven attacks and counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 57th motorized infantry and 32nd mechanized brigades near the community of Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region,” the ministry said.
The enemy’s losses in the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 40 personnel, 2 pickup trucks, 3 US-made M777 artillery systems, 2 D-30 howitzers and a Bukovel-AD electronic warfare station, it specified.
The Ukrainian military lost roughly 350 troops in battles with Russian forces in the Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
“Near the settlements of Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Belogorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Russian forces inflicted damage on formations of the Ukrainian army’s 79th air assault and 81st airmobile brigades. The enemy’s losses totaled as many as 350 personnel, 2 tanks, 4 motor vehicles and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system,” the ministry said.
Russian forces repulsed 11 Ukrainian army counterattacks and improved their frontline positions in the Avdeyevka area over the past day, the ministry reported.
“In the Avdeyevka direction, units of the Battlegroup Center improved their forward edge positions in their active operations. They repulsed 11 counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 24th and 47th mechanized, 3rd and 78th assault brigades near the settlements of Kirovo, Leninskoye, Novobakhmutovka, Orlovka and Tonenkoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ministry said.
The enemy lost “more than 380 personnel, 2 armored combat vehicles and 13 motor vehicles” in the Avdeyevka area over the past 24 hours, the ministry specified.
Russian forces took better frontline positions and repelled a Ukrainian army attack in the south Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
“In the south Donetsk direction, units of the Battlegroup East took more advantageous positions and inflicted damage on the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 128th territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Staromayorskoye and Vodyanoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled an attack by an assault group of the Ukrainian army’s 58th motorized infantry brigade near the community of Shevchenko in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted “to “over 145 personnel, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 8 pickup trucks and an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery gun,” it specified.
Russian forces inflicted damage on manpower and military equipment of two Ukrainian army brigades in the Kherson area over the past day, the ministry reported.
“In the Kherson direction, units of the Dnepr Battlegroup inflicted damage in their well-coordinated operations on formations of the Ukrainian army’s 117th mechanized and 128th mountain assault brigades near the settlements of Rabotino, Kamenskoye and Lobkovoye in the Zaporozhye Region,” the ministry said.

The enemy lost roughly 50 personnel, three motor vehicles, an Msta-B howitzer and a D-30 howitzer in the Kherson direction over the past 24 hours, the ministry specified.
Russian air defense forces shot down 11 rockets of the HIMARS, Grad and Vampire multiple launch rocket systems and a Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile and destroyed 146 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
“During the last 24-hour period, air defense capabilities shot down 11 rockets of the HIMARS, Grad and Vampire multiple launch rocket systems and a Tochka-U tactical missile,” the ministry said.

In addition, Russian air defense systems destroyed 146 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, in particular, near the settlements of Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Zelenopolye, Aleksandrovka and Kodema in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Mirnoye, Vishnevoye, Shevchenkovo, Konskiye Razdory and Ocheretovatoye in the Zaporozhye Region and Rybalche in the Kherson Region, it specified.
Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian ammunition depot and a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system over the past day, the ministry reported.
“Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army’s 43rd mechanized brigade and a US-manufactured HIMARS multiple rocket launcher. In addition, they struck amassed enemy manpower and military hardware in 132 areas,” the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 577 Ukrainian warplanes, 267 helicopters, 15,226 unmanned aerial vehicles, 484 surface-to-air missile systems, 15,438 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,238 multiple rocket launchers, 8,378 field artillery guns and mortars and 19,658 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
