The article mentions many things related to freemasonry. John Nelson Darby, who was an important agent of influence for spreading Christian Zionism and various sects like the Plymouth Brothers. Members of that sect were involved with the Jack Ripper Trial and made sure to bungle it ie not allowing it to come to any unwanted conclusions by the mighty.
Something interesting about Darby is that officially he was not supposed to have been a freemason and as one modern freemason commented it was an oddity that when Darby councelled members of religious sects he would pick freemasonry as a good example of how to sort out differences among disputing coreligionists. He said that they should learn from studying the example from how freemasonic lodges went about to sort out their differences.
And Darby was not supposed to be a freemason!
